ERNESTO DARANAS

Ernesto Daranas Serrano is a multi-awarded Cuban filmmaker. His three feature films have won hundreds of international awards and they have been Cuba's official submissions to the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. His documentary "Los últimos gaiteros de La Habana" won the King of Spain Award. "Bluechacha" was nominated to a Latin Grammy. "Conducta" was nominated to the Goya Awards for Best Latin American Film. "Sergio & Sergei" had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Ernesto Daranas Serrano es un cineasta cubano multipremiado. Sus tres largometrajes han ganado cientos de premios internacionales y han sido las presentaciones oficiales de Cuba a los Premios de la Academia a la Mejor Película en Lengua Extranjera. Su documental "Los últimos gaiteros de La Habana" ganó el Premio Rey de España. "Bluechacha" fue nominado a un Grammy Latino. "Conducta" fue nominada a los Premios Goya a la Mejor Película Latinoamericana. "Sergio & Sergei" tuvo su estreno mundial en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto.
