GUSTAVO FALLAS

Gustavo Fallas (Costa Rica, 1974) studied theater at the Castella Conservatory. He has received scholarships to study film in Montreal, Paris, Madrid and London. He has written and produced many short films. His debut feature film, Puerto Padre (2013), won the Silver Zenith award for Best Film Debut at the Festival des Films du Monde in Montreal among others. Río Sucio was selected by Cinergia, Cinequanon Lab and La Fabrique des cinemas du monde , Festival de Cannes 2016.

Nace en Costa Rica en 1974. Sus intereses iniciales se desarrollaron en el teatro y se prepara como actor en el Conservatorio Castella. Recibe becas para estudiar cine en Montreal, Madrid, Paris y Londres. Realiza varios cortos cinematográficos. Dirige su Ópera prima, Puerto Padre (2013), y con ella, gana el premio Zenith de Plata a la Opera Prima en El Festival des Films du Monde de Montreal, entre otros. Su película, Río Sucio fue seleccionado como proyecto por CINERGIA, Cinequanon Lab y la Fabrique des cinemas du monde en Cannes
