Having worked as a housekeeper all her life, Justina inherits from her former employer a mansion in the middle of the Argentinean pampas. Under one condition: she must never leave. In this modern fairytale, Justina and her daughter will face the challenges of keeping that promise alive.

MARTÍN BENCHIMOL

Martín Benchimol (Buenos Aires, 1985) studied film at the University of Buenos Aires before going on to specialize in cinematography. He has co-directed two documentaries with Pablo Aparo, La gente del río (2012), premiered at DOK Leipzig, and El espanto (2017), winner of the IDFA Best Mid-Length Film Award. El castillo will be his debut as a solo director.

Ha codirigido dos documentales con Pablo Aparo, La gente del río (2012), que se estrenó en DOK Leipzig, y El espanto (2017), ganador del Premio IDFA al mejor mediometraje. El castillo será su debut como director en solitario.
