The story of the solitary Chuqui Orozco, who embarks on his daily trip up the mountains, in essence, like a human pack-mule, occasionally blaming himself for his wife’s unhappiness. Along the way, we hear and feel the pain and sorrow through the words and images of a broken spirit.

Solo un Cargador cuenta la historia del solitario Chuqui Orozco, quien se embarca en su viaje diario a través de las montañas, empleado literalmente, como mula de carga humana, culpándose a veces por la infelicidad de su esposa. Durante el viaje podemos escuchar y sentir el dolor y la pena a través de las palabras e imágenes de un alma deshecha.

JUAN ALEJANDRO RAMIREZ

Born in Peru, Juan Alejandro Ramírez studied anthropology in Lima and in the United States. An extensive traveler, he worked first as a photographer and then for a film school in New York. He has since written, directed, photographed and edited his own film narratives while living and working in various parts of Africa, Asia and Latin America. Filmography: Made by Hand (1990), Todo y nada (1993), Me dicen Yovo (1996), Faraway from Here (1999).

Nacido en Peru, Juan Alejandro Ramírez estudio Antropología en Lima y en Los estados Unidos. Trabajo primero como fotografo y luego en una escuela de cine en Nueva York. Desde entonces, ha escrito guión, direjido, fotografiado y editado peliculas durante su estadia en partes de Africa, Asia, y América Latina.
