In 1991, Medellin is a dangerous place to live. The rules have changed and even the police have a price on their heads. Flaco flees to London after his mother receives death threats, and though fear prevails on the unsafe, his friends and girlfriend, Malala, throw him a going-away party. A few months later, Flaco returns to find the city just how he left it, in full war with bombs going off regularly. Charlie and Malala, who are now a couple, are picking him up. Along with their friends Pipe (a handicapped drug addict) and the Weasel (la Comadreja, a loser without scruples) they go to the airport, in Snowball (Bola de Nieve), the van in which they have travelled many miles and which has become a refuge for them all. It’s time to run from the city and to put the pedal to the metal… or simply delve into a fascinating voyage through their lives.
En 1991 Medellín es lugar peligroso para vivir, las reglas han cambiado y hasta los policías tienen un precio. Al Flaco le toca huir hacia Londres por las amenazas contra su madre, y a pesar de que se siente miedo en las calles, sus amigos y su novia, Malala, le hacen una gran despedida. Luego de unos meses el Flaco regresa y en la ciudad las cosas no parecen haber cambiado: la guerra continúa y las bombas estallan. Caliche y Malala, que ahora son novios, van a recogerlo. Junto a Pipe, un drogadicto inválido inválido. y la Comadreja, un perdedor inescrupuloso, van al aeropuerto en Bola de Nieve, la camioneta en la que tantos kilómetros han recorrido juntos y que se ha convertido en el refugio de todos. Es el momento de huir de la ciudad y meter el acelerador o simplemente adentrarse en un viaje alucinado por sus vidas.
