Marilyn Solaya is a Cuban actress, scriptwriter, director and producer. Solaya is a graduate of Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in the fields of Art Direction and Audiovisual Media. She debuted as an actress inFresa y Chocolate, in the role of David’s girlfriend. Later, she appeared in the film Despabilate, amor by Argentine director Eliseo Subiela. She has made four documentaries including the multi-awarded En el cuerpo Equivocado upon which she based Vestido de Novia, her first narrative feature.
