Synopsis

Tomás Choc is two days and 150 Km. away from seeing his only daughter Lucía. It’s been twenty years since the Army kidnapped her during the Guatemalan civil war when she was only three years old. Despite the pain suffered by her absence, Tomás kept a diary of his years of struggle, resistance and survival hoping that this diary will someday get to his daughter’s hands. We will share Tomás’ experience in this journey to finally see Lucía again and witness how both of them will surpass the obstacles that destiny has created between them.

Director's Bio

Sergio Ramírez directed documentaries such as Resist to live, Resist to Advance (2009). He was also the assistant director of the feature-length film One Day of Sun (2009), directed by Rafael Tres. He is currently promoting his first feature-length film Distance, which won as Best Opera Prima at Havana Film Festival in Cuba, 2011. Also he is writing and co-producing the script for his second feature-length film All Saints.
