Synopsis

This film tells the tradition of each Wayúu, when born, they are assigned a name that carries the intention of what they have come to do on Earth. Their names were taken from their history. The White Man re-identified them with new degrading names like Chainsaw, Goodyear, Alkaseltzer and Tarzán. Also they were all born on the 31st of December. This document delineates the impact and significance it caused the indigenous lineage when they were forced to give up their names.

Director's Bio

Priscilla Padilla is a documentary filmmaker and screenwriter. She graduated in film direction from the Conservatoire Libre du Cinemá Francaise in Paris France. She also studied Cinematography Aesthetics, Art History, Filmmaking, Screenwriting for Television, Direction for Actors, Aesthetics of the Documentary and Cinematic Montage.
