Roque Espinoza arrives in Buenos Aires to begin his university studies. A short time after, he realizes that he is not really there to study. Without a real aim, he spends his time wandering about the university, making friends and meeting girls. One of them, Paula, a professor at the university, introduces him to political militancy. Roque starts attending meetings of her group, where he meets Alberto Acevedo. With him, Roque learns the political codes and to behave like a student leader, and he feels he has finally found his true calling: that politics are his university.
