Hit by the La Lupe singing bug, Yolanda wants to be a singer at any price. She’ll do whatever it takes, nothing and nobody will get in her way. And if to get what she wants she has to go against her father’s wishes, all the better; she’d do anything not to stay in her village being just another woman, of the kind that gets married, puts on weight, and gives birth to children one after the other.

She has been the screenwriter for The ash from the volcano, feature Documentary, Reflections of Women in the mirror of Europe; television series Acentos, television series Entrepreneurs, television series - documentary, War Stories Sahraouie – Feature fiction, Water with salt; feature fiction, Selling dreams; documentary and The Bad, feature fiction which is also directed by her, being her last work.

Ha sido guinista en Las cenizas del volcán, largometraje documental; Reflejos de Mujer en el espejo de Europa, serie television; Acentos, serie television; Emprendedores, serie televisión documental; Cuentos de la Guerra Saharaui, largometraje ficción; Agua con sal, largometraje ficción; Vendedora de sueños, documental; su más reciente trabajo, La Mala, un largometraje ficción el cual dirigio también.

In 2004, he premiered Saharaui, Cuentos de una Guerra, winning awards in Freiburg and Valencia. He received the Tirant Award for the best film and actor, and best director in Lorca. In 2005, he premiered Agua con Sal, selected and winning awards at international festivals in San Sebastián, Montreal, New York, Los Angeles, Bangkok, Punta del Este (Uruguay), Valencia. He won 2 Mostra Cinema del Mediterrani 2005 awards, 4 Premis Tirant in 2005, 2 Ciudad de Huelva awards for best actress and the special Libertad award in 2005. In 2008, he received an International Film Festival for Integration 2008 award.
